Point Polaris is excited to welcome Roland Howell to the team, who recently took up the role of Project Director in our Sydney office. Roland joins us from Savills, where he initially led project management for retail within NSW until joining Savills’ Advisory team where he provided property advice including, highest and best use strategies, accommodation options analyses, land control strategies, and development options analyses, across several asset classes in both private and public sectors.
Before that, Roland worked at Probuild Constructions for six years, followed by Mirvac, Stockland, Woolworths and more recently Scentre Group, in various senior property roles over a fourteen-year period. In his role at Scentre Group as a Development Executive, Roland was tasked with strategic acquisitions, maximising development opportunities, negotiation commitments of major tenants, managing JV partners, and working collaboratively with design, leasing, construction and management teams, to effect group and project visions.
Roland has extensive experience in retail developments across several large REITs, bringing a comprehensive understanding of key development drivers, a thorough knowledge of construction and procurement, adept lobbying skills and a clear communications style.
“Roland will play an important role, helping to drive the growing retail arm of the business,” Point Polaris managing director Andrew Hogan said. “He will be a great asset to the team.”
