Builder Ironside has broken ground at Morton Park, a collection of 26 luxury one, two and three bedroom apartments in Blackburn for developer Modun Property.
The project is designed by award winning architects Martino Leah. Point Polaris are Development and Project Managers and Jellis Craig are the selling agents.
Paul Martino and Stephen Leah bring an extensive amount of local knowledge to Morton Park. Specialising in innovative residential projects, the duo designed Morton Park to respectfully respond and contribute to the site’s already rich surroundings.
Managing both Morton Park’s architecture and interior design, Martino Leah implemented sensitive consideration into every inch of the building to enhance the lives of the building’s future occupants. With generous floor plates and plenty of storage, the apartments are orientated to maximise light.
Morton Park’s facade is defined through colour and contrast. Sizeable, raw elements make up the structure, including precast arches that line the ground floor. This distinctive pattern of arches is an interpretation of classic shapes.
While dark tones define the ground floor, lighter coloured materials make up the upper levels. Brickwork forms part of the first floor, echoing the post-war brick houses in Blackburn. Travelling further up the facade, a series of white batons that turn into interactive screens group the building’s residential floors. Residents are given control, with the ability to open and close these screens as they please for aesthetic, natural lighting and climate control preferences, animating the exterior as a result.
“Classic architectural forms, refined finishes and a focus on detail make up Morton Park.”
